Timothy A. Bass, AIA, LEED AP

Principal

Tim Bass is the principal architect and founding owner of Bass Studio Architects. He created Bass Studio in Columbus, Ohio, in 1992 after graduating from The Ohio State University with a Master’s Degree in Architecture and working for two large architectural firms for five years. Tim and his firm have received numerous awards over the years for design, including a national Restaurant Design Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Los Angeles chapter; a national design award from Playthings Magazine for Best New Toy Store Design; and design awards from AIA Columbus chapter, and the chambers of commerce in the Columbus suburbs of Grandview Heights and Worthington. Bass Studio Architects is recognized as one of Ohio’s top restaurant design firms and also provides services in urban design, planning and interior design.

Elie Younes

Designer

Elie Younes studied architecture and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame University Beirut, Lebanon, in 2017. Elie moved to the United States, where he lived most of his life, to start his professional career. He joined Bass Studio Architects in 2018 and since then has worked on a wide range of restaurants, offices and housing projects, including the King and High Development in Columbus, Ohio.

J. Arturo Mares

Designer

Arturo Mares joined the Bass Studio Architects staff in early 2022. He comes to us from Guadalajara, Mexico, where he received his degree in architecture from the prestigious University of Guadalajara in 2017. After graduation, Arturo co-founded an architectural design firm and gained experience in commercial, residential and industrial architecture, interior design, and planning projects. Arturo also enjoyed blending his architectural skills with the technical challenges of helping to run his family’s heating and air conditioning business. In 2019, Arturo moved to Columbus to start his own family and seek new personal and professional experiences. He looks forward to discovering and working with the central Ohio community.
